Longfellow Elementary students reduce their carbon footprints

Longfellow Elementary students use “Walk to Win Wednesdays” to help reduce their carbon footprints. They have a “walking school bus,” aconvoy of over 20 Longfellow students and their families, who meet near school and walk together. This Wednesday, as a special Earth Day activity, students will be sorting clean, dry trash that they brought from home for an “Earth Trash Bash” where they will deliberate whether garbage is to be reused, recycled or sent to the landfill.
