Lowell students learn about the environmental impact of Bayview Shipyards

A group of Lowell High students will learn the history of the Bayview Hunters Point Naval Shipyards’ environmental impact as they participate in a native plant restoration project. The students are volunteering with Literacy for Environmental Justice, whose mission is to address the ecological and health concerns of Bayview Hunters Point and surrounding communities.

When: Tuesday, April 21 / 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Where: Heron’s Head Park / Jennings St. & Cargo Way
