Why recruit student volunteers?

The next generation of nonprofit leaders are in our schools today. What better way to plant seeds than by creating service opportunities in your organization? According to an article by the Corporation for National and Community Service, over half of the people engaged in volunteering are between 12 and 18. Furthermore, "youth who develop leadership skills while participating in community service build self-esteem and engage even more people, especially other youth, in service."
