Below is a "virtual course in service-learning" developed by California State Univeristy, East Bay in collaboration with the Alameda County Office of Education. Each session has a video, lecture notes, assignments, readings, and discussion sections.

Other options for teachers and schools to receive training and assistance for service learning efforts in California include:

• Youth Service California provides FREE informal advice via phone and email as well as fee-based services, workshops, and training. Check out their list of California certified service-learning trainers.
   
• Teachers and school administrators may join the California Department of Education's "CalServe Service Learning Listserv" to ask for advice and share ideas.
   
• Sign up to receive the National Service Learning Clearinghouse's "Monthly Newsletter" for quick updates on resources, events, news, and project stories.
